I always come here and I love the food. But every time I come here they always forget to put the sauces in my bag and when you go ask for it they be looking at you and acting like you lying.

The best spot for fresh, quick empanadas and to go margaritas. They make it fresh so it will takeva little bit but so worth it. I got the mango margarita and it had fresh mango, the marg was also super strong. 10/10 recommend the Cuban empanada. It was packed with meat and cheese, so good. Definitely ask for sauce on the side, you won't be disappointed. The empanadas are a good size and pretty filling. 2-3 is more than enough.

I walked in for a late night snack after drinking around 1:30AM on a Saturday night. It was busy and popular. You can line up to order or use the quick and easy machines. I got the beef and corn empanada. It was good, but the shell was a bit thick and much to chew through. They're known for other flavors, like the mac and cheese. Cashiers were definitely over it. There were some tables and chairs. There was a separate bar section with a bouncer.

I expected a cool, low-key, maybe divey hangout. What I got was essentially a takeout line with security guards. After a certain time (I went just before midnight), this place turns into a tiny shotgun space (the other half is marked off by security). You go up to the window and order. I went up and told them to order four of their favorite empanadas and their favorite drink. They were nice, but not overly friendly. I ended up with two El toro empanadas (oxtail, Jamaican pepper, wine, chipotle, onion, carrot, thyme, etc). They were crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, but I'm not sure I could discern all the components in this empanada. I also got: viagra wheat, made of seafood stew, including shrimp. This was probably my least favorite and least flavorful, but keep in mind that I'm NOT a shrimp fan. I found it flavorless. My last empanada was jerk and cheese--Swiss cheese and jerk marinated chicken. It was also juicy, but not as well seasoned as the oxtail. I'm pretty sure they chose a passion fruit margarita for me, which was a little sweet, but not bad. This spot has a huge number of empanadas available: eggplant Parmesan, pepperoni pizza, Mac n cheese, ham n cheese, ground beef, portobello, veggie, Cuban, and more. All are 4.50. They also have tapas, entrees, arepas, sandwiches, salads, and more, though you're almost certainly coming here late at night to get some empanadas to soak up the alcohol.

So many options! Honestly, I spent a good amount of time just deciding what I wanted. I ended up ordering 3 empanadas - Jerk Chicken, Ground Corn Beef and the Bourbon Chicken. My favorites were the jerk chicken which had Swiss cheese so the flavors were really good. You got a little bit of spice and then the saltiness of the cheese. I really liked the bourbon chicken with the mushrooms as well. It was a bit oily. I think I preferred the wheat empanadas versus the corn but I'll be back to try again. It took around 15/20 minutes to get them so I would recommend ordering beforehand if you don't want to wait. They have indoor seating and frozen margs if you want to make your wait more fun.

This place is wonderfullllll - especially late night! ;) My partner and I landed in NY around midnight, and were able to pop in and get some delicious empanadas. A lot of flavorful options, and I'm gluten free which works perfectly with corn-based foods. Love the easy self-service kiosks where you can just order and wait for your food. Still, the workers are helpful if/when needed. There's a limited number of seats/tables, but honestly this place has a to-go vibe anyway!
